Warranty, purchase and delivery

Novafloor.fi is an ecommerce operated by Novafloor Oy, Vaasa. The official importer and seller of flooring is Novafloor Oy (business ID 2087183-1).

Order delivery time

The delivery time for products in stock is usually 1-2 working days to most cities and urban areas. Delivery to rural areas and outside urban areas, as well as to the archipelago and north of Rovaniemi may take 3-5 working days.

The current stock status is indicated for each product, and possibly also the date of the next batch to arrive. If a product is temporarily out of stock or marked as a special order product, please call or email our customer service for more information.

For floors that we manufacture ourselves in Vaasa on a customer-specific basis, we usually have a production time of about 2 weeks from order. These include all Novafloor and Trinity parquets and plank flooring, all oil-finished. We also manufacture Harder hardened oak flooring to customer specifications with a delivery time of around 2 weeks from order.

When placing the order, the customer can specify the desired delivery date. The date must be a working day. We always try to deliver the floor on the date requested by the customer, but due to Schenker’s delivery routes, the date may vary.

Free storage

We offer our customers the possibility to store the ordered product for free, every 12 months. By ordering your flooring well in advance and taking advantage of our free storage, you ensure availability and delivery according to your needs. Please let us know in the shopping cart when you place your order that you wish to stock up. You can let us know the delivery date either when you place your order, or later if it is not known at the time of ordering.

All our stocked customer products are insured for the customer’s benefit at full value, for the duration of the stocking period. Novafloor Oy’s customer insurance is issued by OP-Pohjola.

Home delivery – either delivered to your doorstep or canned

See below, under Delivery costs, the prices for the different modes of transport.

Normal delivery is to the customer’s yard or street. Home delivery is also possible for certain postal codes. Our shopping cart freight calculator offers collection as a possible additional service when collection is possible to the customer’s postcode.

Delivery is made to the address indicated by the customer. The Schenker driver will try to drive the vehicle as close as possible to the customer’s door, and will pick up the ordered consignment from the truck. If the delivery method chosen is delivery to the yard, the customer will then carry the goods himself. If the order includes the additional service of collection, the driver will bring the consignment, collected, through the front door of the home. This does not include carrying the parcels to different rooms or to different floors within the apartment.

Small orders such as detergents and installation accessories can also be delivered by parcel post.

The customer should ensure that someone is present to receive, check and acknowledge the delivery on arrival. For this reason, it is important that the customer provides a daytime telephone number when placing the order.

If the recipient cannot be reached on the gsm number provided within a reasonable or agreed time, charges for storage of the goods etc. will be charged to the customer. If the recipient cannot be reached within 7 days, the goods may be returned to the seller and the costs incurred will be charged to the customer. The balance of the purchase price will be returned to the customer’s account.

Checking the batch received

The customer must always check the received consignment for transport damage or missing contents before signing the consignment note. The pallet is accompanied by a shipping envelope containing the packing list and instructions for installation in Finnish. Check that the packing list matches the contents of the delivery.

If the products are damaged in transit or something is missing, do the following:
Mark the damage / missing parts as clearly as possible in the shipping document. Make sure that the damage, defects and damage/losses are as clear as possible. Only sign the consignment note when you have completed your entries and also ask the carrier to sign all copies of the consignment note, including the copy that remains with you. Please contact our customer service immediately so that we can agree on further action.

In the absence of any indication in the waybill, the responsibility for any transport damage that is already apparent at the time of delivery remains with the customer.

Pick up from Vaasa warehouse

Ordered and paid products can also be collected from Novafloor.fi’s warehouse at Kaarlenkatu 2, 65170 Vaasa. Collection from the Vaasa warehouse is free of charge.

Pick-up is possible from Monday to Friday 7-14:30, and on Saturdays by agreement.

We will notify you by e-mail or by phone when your order is available for pick-up. If you wish to store the parquet you have purchased on our premises for a longer period, please indicate this in the Additional Information field of the order form.

Delivery abroad

We also deliver all our products throughout the EU. If you live abroad and would like to purchase a floor delivered to your place of residence, please contact our customer service team for a quotation for the floor and delivery costs.

Delivery Costs

Indoor Delivery (Carrying Inside)

  • Indoor delivery is an additional service that can be purchased for an extra fee of €120.

  • Our shopping cart checks based on the postal code whether indoor delivery is available.

Delivery to Yard – Floors and Accessories:

  • The basic delivery cost for floors and accessories is €75.00 throughout Finland.
  • For certain postal code areas in Lapland and the archipelago, an additional special area surcharge of €120 applies. This is because Schenker’s delivery truck makes a separate trip to these addresses, as there is no daily delivery route to these areas. The shopping cart calculates the shipping cost based on the postal code..

Delivery to Yard – Moulding Products:

  • When you order only moulding products and moulding accessories, the delivery cost is €65.00 throughout Finland.
  • For certain postal code areas in Lapland and the archipelago, an additional special area surcharge of €120 applies for the same reason as above. The shopping cart calculates the shipping cost based on the postal code.

Delivery to Yard – Small Accessories:

  • The delivery cost for small accessories is €19.90 throughout Finland. Small accessories include cleaning and maintenance products, as well as skirting board clips and spacers.
    We primarily aim to ship small accessories as a Postal Package, which will be delivered directly to the customer’s address.

Product returns

Our products have a 14-day return policy. However, as flooring material is susceptible to moisture, we can only accept unopened and undamaged, resaleable packages for return. The customer is responsible for storing and packaging the products so that they are not damaged.

If you wish to return a product, we require that you first contact our customer service department, where we will provide instructions on how to return the product.

The return of a defective product is free of charge for the customer, provided that the product can be left directly and as such for transport by Schenker and that the return does not require separate handling or other separate transport by Schenker due to its size or weight. For other than normal Schenker transport, the customer is responsible for the return costs.

If our products are defective, please contact our customer service immediately and we can arrange for a replacement or return. Return costs due to product defects are borne by the seller, provided that the return has been agreed with our customer service and the return is made according to the instructions given.

Payment terms

Payment service provider

Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) is the payment service provider in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj appears as the recipient of the payment on the statement of account or card bill and forwards the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj is a licensed payment institution. In case of complaints, please contact the supplier of the product in the first instance.

Warranty

Our products are covered by a factory warranty issued by the manufacturers. The duration of the warranty varies depending on the product and is clearly indicated on the product page. The warranty period starts when the product is ordered. Please keep the packing slip that comes with the products as proof of warranty. For more detailed warranty conditions, please refer to the product installation instructions.

Our customer service team will be happy to provide you with further information on the warranty of the products.

Carefully follow the instructions for storage, use and installation of the products, as the warranty only covers defects in materials and not defects resulting from use or installation contrary to the instructions. In all possible claims, the seller’s maximum financial liability is limited to the value of the products delivered.

Novafloor Oy acts both as an importer of flooring and as the administrator of the Novafloor.fi marketplace. For this reason, communication between the customer and the manufacturer is very fast in case of problems. Fast and correct handling of matters is important to us and to the manufacturers we represent!

Novafloor’s central warehouse is located in Vaasa, where you can also collect your order if you do not want home delivery.

Please call at least 3 hours in advance to let us know when you are coming. This gives us time to collect your order for delivery.
