About the product
HARDER transition strips complete your floor
A stylish transition strip puts the finishing touch to your HARDER vinyl floor. We have developed our own transition strips for HARDER vinyl floors, each colour-matched to its floor. Made in Italy and carrying the Design from Finland mark, this strip is the natural choice for finishing a HARDER vinyl floor. The transition strip is 44 mm wide and 1800 mm long.
HARDER transition strips are used in doorways, for example, and wherever the floor has an expansion joint. This is not a reducer strip: it does not even out differences in height, such as where the vinyl floor meets a thicker floor covering. The strip has a high-quality, dimensionally stable wood fibre core and is covered with a durable foil in the colour of the floor. It is easy to install by gluing it to the subfloor with construction adhesive.

Installing the HARDER transition strip, in a doorway for example, is quick and easy. The strip is glued to the subfloor with construction adhesive. The expansion joint between the two floors should be about 24 mm wide. Apply the adhesive along the centre of the expansion joint and press the strip into it. We recommend placing weights on the strip while the adhesive dries. Make sure the strip adheres properly and is centred over the expansion joint. This strip cannot be screwed down; it can only be glued.
Replacing a worn or damaged strip is quick and easy. Remove the old strip and adhesive, with a chisel for example, before fitting the new strip in its place.
