The long-awaited addition to Parador’s Modular One hybrid flooring range has finally arrived: now the stunning Modular One floors are also available in a herringbone pattern. Modular One meets the highest expectations for clean room air and 100% PVC-free vinyl flooring. Modular One herringbone flooring has a wear class of KL33.
Modular One hybrid flooring is vinyl flooring without vinyl, as Parador has managed to replace the PVC commonly used in vinyl flooring with an emission-free and thalate-free PP plastic coating. That’s why we call the Modular One product family hybrid flooring, a superior alternative to traditional vinyl planks.
AN ECOLOGICAL AND SAFE CHOICE FOR YOUR HOME
Modular One hybrid flooring meets the highest ecological and clean room air requirements. Naturally, the flooring is manufactured without the use of plastic buffers or PVC. Modular One is manufactured in Germany, using German raw materials. This floor is truly “Made in Germany”.
Plasticizer-free flooring is ideal for home use and public spaces. The traditional PVC surface has been replaced by a widely researched, safe PP coating. The PP plastic coating makes the floor not only emission-free, but also highly resistant to wear and moisture. Modular One floors are room air certified. This is evidenced by the German Blauer Engel certification, the international Floorscore certificate and the Klasse A+ and TÜV certifications.
The Modular One fishing rod frame is made of a German fibre-type frame board that is moisture-proof. The bottom of the planks has a natural cork layer that dampens the sound of footsteps. The flooring is suitable for use in dry indoor environments.
HAS THE LOOK AND FEEL OF A REAL WOODEN FLOOR
The Modular One floor’s appearance is its greatest asset. Parador has succeeded in creating the impression of a real oak floor by combining an innovative production method with unique surface technology, which makes the floor look and feel like real wood. The floor has a natural matt finish. The surface feels like oiled oak and is wonderfully warm to the touch.
The resilient surface and the layer of natural cork on the Modular One plank base add to the comfort and quietness of the floor. The long sides and ends of the individual herringbone boards are slightly bevelled to emphasise the herringbone pattern of the floor.
DEMAND THE BEST – CHOOSE MODULAR ONE
The era of so-called “umpivinyls” made of PVC is finally over. Modular One is a new generation of vinyl flooring that can be highly recommended for Finnish living. Modular One has a very stable structure and will not swell when, for example, sunlight heats up the floor in summer.
The Modular One herringbone flooring comes with a pre-installed cork layer in the bottom of the board to absorb footfall noise. Therefore, no separate step sound attenuation mat should be placed under the Modular One screed floor. When the subfloor is concrete or gypsum, only building plastic is applied to the subfloor and the Modular One screed is installed directly on top of it. Similarly, when installing on a dry subfloor, such as plasterboard, chipboard or old wood flooring, Solmer vinyl perforated underlay must first be applied to the subfloor.
EASIEST TO INSTALL
Modular One fishbone flooring is easy to install, as the floor joists have a dimensionally accurate and high-quality locking point. The floor is supplied with installation instructions in Finnish, which are important to follow. When installing the floor, apply standard wood glue to the locking points of the floor boards.
