Meister Silent Touch Oak Light Old Wood 1-strip PVC-free vinyl flooring

Silent Touch is a completely new type of flooring from German manufacturer Meister, combining hard-wearing durability, a warm and easy-care surface, and a unique board length: up to 2055 mm. Silent Touch is a completely plastic-free and ecological alternative to traditional vinyl flooring.

Healthy and odourless, an environmentally friendly choice

Silent Touch is 100% made in Germany, using only German raw materials. Silent Touch is odourless and a healthy choice as it is 100% PVC-free. This also means that the flooring does not contain any thalates or other plasticizers.

The product has been awarded the German Blauer Engel certificate (DYN/EN RAL-UZ 176) which guarantees that the floor is environmentally friendly.

Unique novelty surface

In Silent Touch floor coverings, the traditional PVC plastic surface of vinyl has been completely replaced by a new type of PU or polyurethane surface.

Thanks to the PU surface, the floor is highly resistant to wear and tear, with a wear class of up to KL33. The product is therefore also suitable for heavy-duty use in public areas. As its name suggests, Silent Touch is quiet, which makes the floor very pleasant to use at home. In addition, the floor is warm to the touch and pleasant to walk on.

Durable and uniquely long board, yet only 5 mm thick

The Silent Touch board is 216 mm wide and 2055 mm long, which is unique compared to traditional vinyls. Yet the board is only 5 mm thick, making Silent Touch an unrivalled choice for underfloor heating.

The edges of the board have small micro-patterns which emphasise the floor’s plank-like appearance.

The unique composite frame of the Silent Touch board makes it incredibly elastic and flexible. This allows the floor to better accommodate the small irregularities in the subfloor.

Silent Touch is highly resistant to splash water, but should not be installed in wet areas.

Traditional vinyl flooring often has problems with thermal expansion caused by direct sunlight and consequent opening of the end seams. Silent Touch is very stable, which means that this problem cannot occur.

Easy to install

Thanks to the lock pivot, Silent Touch flooring is very easy to install, even for first-time users. The locking point is foldable on the long side and the end is finally snapped onto the previous board with a special installation bolt, which is supplied free of charge with each floor.

Silent Touch does not need the cork layer often used in vinyls, but is installed directly on top of the step sound mat. Meister Silence 15 is recommended for concrete and gypsum and Meister Silence 20 for dry surfaces.
