Floor tone

Stonewash is a natural and roughly finished floor with the look of real oak. Stonewash shows up as a rough, pale variation on the surface of the floor. The floor is invitingly soft, but still rugged. Hand-carved and oil-rubbed Trinity plank is a durable floor for decades.

About the product

The best of nature’s beauty on your floor

Made from real oak, Trinity hardwood flooring is a breathable and warm floor that will last in your home for generations. With a natural oil finish, we bring out the beauty and grain structure of oak that is wonderful to touch. Trinity flooring enhances the individual look of your home, as each tile is shaped by nature.

Hand-carved oak surface

The oak surface of the Trinity plank floor is hand-carved to a suitably patinated and beautifully vibrant finish before oil-sawing. As a result of our long development work, the carved surface of Trinity floors is very beautiful and comfortable to the foot. The surface shows the carving just right, without being too rustic. After carving, we brush each plank before waxing. Brushing brings out the grain pattern of the oak after carving and the result is a perfectly beautiful, highly wear-resistant surface that is a pleasure to walk on, especially barefoot. Trinity carved flooring is also well suited to heavier wear and tear, such as in public spaces. We recommend that you do not sand your carved Trinity floor over the years, as the floor will patinate further with use and the appearance will only improve. Over the years, the surface will be renewed with a maintenance oil. The floor can of course be sanded; then the surface will be smooth.

The best wood flooring comes from Vaasa

For more than ten years we have been developing our Trinity plank flooring and plank flooring in Vaasa. That’s why Trinity is a safe, durable and secure choice for your floor. In Vaasa, we hand-select each board for your floor, according to the colour and type of wood. We oil-saw the surface of your floor to finish, so that the floor is ready for use immediately after installation, without the need for additional oil treatments.

Robust construction and uniquely wide plank floor

The Trinity plank floor has a very solid 14 mm birch plywood frame with a 6 mm oak surface on top. The Trinity plank floor is well suited for underfloor heating, as the plank is low in weight. We offer you different widths of the plank from 22 to 30 cm. You can also combine different plank widths in the same floor. The plank is installed by gluing it to the substrate (concrete floor, plaster cast, plywood floor) or by screwing it to a 40 cm reinforcement.

Durable and natural oil finish

Before your floor is delivered, we will oil-finish the flooring in the colour of your choice. We use vegetable-based waxes and oils for oil waxing. We oil-finish the floor completely before delivery, so you don’t need to treat the floor with oil when installing. The oil-wax finish is highly resistant to wear and tear and can be easily renewed with maintenance oil if necessary. You can also do the oil treatment yourself as it is easy to do. The floor can be cleaned using Pallmann Clean detergent and maintenance products. Individual scratches and larger dents can be faded with floor care products that you can order from us.

The natural beauty of wood

We use European white oak in the manufacture of Trinity engineered wood. For the oak we use Country, which has a moderate variation in the shade and darkness of oak, as well as knots and oak heartwood. The branch patterns are either intact or repaired with dark putty, the shade of the oil wax will affect the final shade of the branch. There is some light surface wood on the oak, as well as isolated cracks repaired with putty. The overall look of a plank floor is a vibrant rustic look. Most boards have a twig or two.

Modern plank flooring also suitable for underfloor heating

Trinity engineered wood flooring works great with water-cooled underfloor heating, and under certain conditions also with electric underfloor heating. The solid birch plywood structure of the plank and the precise drying process of the oak during the manufacturing process reduce the life of the plank and allow it to be installed for underfloor heating. Plank flooring is installed either by gluing to the substrate or by screwing to the wooden joinery. The most common installation method is gluing to the substrate. The plank is glued to concrete, plaster moulding or, for example, plywood using an elastic MS-Polymer adhesive. Substrate bonding is an excellent installation method for underfloor heating, as the floor heat is efficiently transferred through the plank without leaving an insulating air layer in between. You can also order a primer and adhesive for your plank flooring from us. Screwed installation is also possible, the recommended spacing is 40 cm. Read more about the installation of the plank at the bottom of this page, under Installation.
