HERRINGBONE PARQUET WITH LOCK POINT

PARADOR Trendtime 3 herringbone parquet is unique in that it comes pre-finished with a matt finish and is easy to install thanks to the lock peg. Once installed, the floor is ready for use immediately. The edges of the planks are micro-patterned, creating a small V-shaped groove along the edges of the planks, which accentuates the herringbone rods and makes the floor very attractive.

EXCELLENT MOISTURE PROTECTION

This parquet is manufactured with a 2,5 mm thick oak surface. A significant advantage of PARADOR parquet is that each oak strip is moisture-proofed from its edges before the parquet board is assembled. This means that the finished PARADOR parquet is also well protected against moisture at the edges of the board and the floor will retain its performance characteristics for many years.

SURFACE TREATMENT

The surface of this parquet has been white lacquered 11 times with Parador’s innovative lacquering method, which gives the parquet a very pleasant feel and beautifully highlights the features of a real wood floor, such as the oak scalloped pattern. The lacquering process makes the floor easy to maintain and highly resistant to wear and tear, as the lacquer provides excellent protection for the parquet. Parador uses an environmentally friendly UV varnish.

NATURE WOOD ASSORTMENT

Parquet is manufactured using wood appearance classifications – wood species classifications that indicate the vitality of the wood material used. The most common grades are called Select, Natur, Living and Rustic.

The oak assortment of this parquet is Natur. The variety is sparse, and the individual branches are small in size. There is moderate variation in the natural shade and lightness of the oak.

INSTALLATION AND UNDERFLOOR HEATING

This parquet features PARADOR’s patented Automatic-Click locking point. This locking point is quick and easy to install, even if you are not familiar with the installation of parquet.

PARADOR parquets are suitable for both water-convection underfloor heating and electric floor heating. The important thing to remember with electric underfloor heating is that the heat must be even. Heating with night-time electricity alone is not recommended.

For Trendtime 3 parquet, Silence step insulation is used as a substrate, Silence 15 for concrete and Silence 20 for dry floors. Normal wood glue is applied to the lock point at the time of installation. This ensures that any unevenness in the subfloor does not cause the pont to creak.

The installation of PARADOR parquet is also facilitated by an exceptionally good installation manual, which is of course in Finnish. The installation instructions are always supplied with the floor.
