FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND CLEAN INDOOR AIR

Meister uses FSC-certified wood from controlled and sustainably managed forests in its parquet flooring.

All the raw materials used in parquet are carefully selected to be emission-free or as low as possible, for the sake of clean indoor air. This is evidenced by the Finnish M1 classification and the German Blauer Engel certificate awarded to Meister parquets, which are only awarded to products that meet the strictest criteria for indoor air emissions.  

UNIQUELY IMPACT-RESISTANT PARQUET

Meister parquet’s unique frame structure makes the floor more resistant to shocks than ordinary parquet. The coniferous cross-laminated timber frame used in conventional parquets is replaced in Meister parquets by a frame made of very dense (890 kg/m3) fibreboard. Thanks to this frame, the impact on the surface of the parquet leaves fewer marks than with conventional parquet.  

The unique Meister parquet frame also makes the parquet board more stable than ordinary parquet. When exposed to moisture, Meister parquet swells much less than parquet with a conventional softwood frame.  

EXCELLENT MOISTURE PROTECTION

The advantage of Meister parquet is that each parquet strip is moisture-proofed from the edges before the parquet board is assembled. Thanks to the moisture protection, water that falls on the floor cannot be immediately absorbed from the edges of the parquet board into the wood, and the floor retains its performance characteristics for many years.  

SURFACE TREATMENT

The surface of this parquet is matt lacquered. Meister manufactures matt lacquered parquets using high quality lacquer which is elastic. Therefore, the matt lacquered surface protects the wood very effectively, and small impacts on the surface of the parquet will not damage the protective lacquer surface.  

The matt lacquered oak surface looks like oiled wood and is almost as warm to the touch as real oiled oak. Cleaning the surface is easy, there is never a need to wax the parquet. Meister uses German, environmentally friendly UV varnishes.  

HARMONIOUS WOOD ASSORTMENT

Parquet is manufactured using wood appearance classifications – wood species classifications that indicate the vitality of the wood material used. The most common grades are called Harmonic, Natur, Lively and Rustic.

This parquet is manufactured using the Harmoninen wood species. This wood is sorted and virtually knot-free, giving the parquet a calm and beautiful appearance, as its name suggests. The Harmonic variety has the characteristic variation in tone and lively grain pattern of the wood.  

INSTALLATION AND UNDERFLOOR HEATING

Meister parquets are well suited for underfloor heating; both electrically heated and water-heated. The important thing to remember with electric underfloor heating is that the heat must be even. Heating with night-time electricity alone is not recommended.

The MeisterClick Plus locking point makes installation of this parquet quick and easy. The lock point is easy to install, as each parquet board can be folded down immediately. This speeds up installation considerably.
